This post will be short and sweet. Sometime in the early morning we lost power at the eco camp, and I woke up in a sticky swamp of sheets. We had a brief rain shower last night, but the rest of the evening was still and humid.  I usually charge my travel fan during the night, while I'm using it, so it stopped working, which didn't help. I was grateful for my solar lamp, because I am usually awake and working before the sun comes up, walking up to the training center at the first light around 6:30am.

Today is hands-on exam day for the trainees, tomorrow will be the written exam. They are understandably anxious, considering we have condensed a months' worth of training into 8 days! We (the trainers) have consistently reminded them of this, and the last couple of recap review and quiz lectures I have given often end with some humorous quiz questions and funny photos to lighten the mood.

They are finishing their last lecture right now and I am about to set up the testing stations for this afternoon. I am so impressed with their dedication and ambition, they are incredibly hard working, while maintaining their sense of humor and humility. I am inspired by them all!

Power is still going in and out, so I will try to post this as soon as possible. Wishing you all a great day.

Much love, Jo (MB)
