There have only been 2 confirmed cases (including 1 death) of Ebola in Kampala, Uganda, from travelers from the DRC. Here is a link to the CDC with more information...

On the map below, Atiak is the red dot, Kampala is circled in blue and you can see the DRC border in purple. 

Rachel and I are communicating almost daily, and we will wait to assess the situation as it gets closer to take off. The good news about the early detection is that more money will be released by the government for research and potential treatments.
